Safe Patient Assistance & Admission Support
Compassionate Support. Safe Transport. Professional Care.
When a loved one is struggling with substance use, taking the first step toward treatment can be difficult for both the patient and the family.
Our Patient Assistance & Rescue Support Service is designed to help families safely connect their loved ones with appropriate professional care—with dignity, compassion and patient safety at the centre of every step.
How Our Patient Assistance Process Works
Family Support Call
Our team first speaks with the family to understand the patient’s situation.
We collect important information such as:
- Patient’s age and current location
- Substance-use history
- Approximate duration of substance use
- Last known use, where available
- Current physical and behavioural condition
- Previous treatment history
- Known medical or psychological concerns
Initial Risk Assessment
Before arranging assistance, our trained team evaluates the situation.
We identify whether the patient appears to be:
Conscious and medically stable.
Showing concerning symptoms such as confusion, significant intoxication, injury or unusual behaviour.
Experiencing a potentially life-threatening condition such as unconsciousness, breathing difficulty, seizure or severe injury.
Professional Assistance Team
Depending on the patient’s needs, our team may include:
- Trained counsellor/intervention professional
- Nurse or medical professional
- Driver
- Doctor or psychiatrist, when required
Our team approaches every situation with patience, respect and sensitivity.
Compassionate On-Site Assessment
At the patient’s location, our team:
- Introduces themselves and explains the purpose of the visit
- Assesses the patient’s immediate condition
- Communicates calmly and respectfully
- Speaks with family members or caregivers
- Identifies any immediate medical concerns
- Explains the treatment and admission process
Consent & Safe Transportation
Where appropriate, the patient is supported in making an informed decision about treatment and transport.
